I will be filing my EAD renewal end of this month at NSC.
Is e-filing faster than paper filing? Any suggestions?

No. This requires fingerprinting. Based on varios posts, it seems to be taking approximately 3 weeks more.

Keep new approved H1 and all related documents with you for POE, also EVL.
I enered POE twice in similar situation as yours without new stamping.
Both times POE (Atlanta) experience was good for me.
I just entered even after new USCIS memo.

I want to know whether I can legally open some business in USA. A sole proprietorship is the simplest business format in USA. I am currently in F1(OPT) visa and will be H1B visa sometime later. Whether F1(OPT) and H1B visa holder can legally open sole proprietorship in USA?
My attorney told the foreigner without Green Card can open business in USA but can't get paid. The sole proprietorship count all business profit/loss as individual income/loss for tax. (Form 1040 Sch C) I am afraid this is not legal for my current visa status.
Anyone here has opened business in USA without a Green Card legally? If yes, could you please share with us which type of company you opened? (Inc, LLP, or ...?)

Hello,
I have already filed I-751 under removal from country results in extreme hardship,I am going through divorce process,I want to change cateogory in I-751 [marrige entered into good faith but terminated by divorce] ,so please anybody can tell me that when I will get me my divorce decree I have to refile new I-751 for cateogory change into------marriage entered into good faith but terminated by divorce.so plz help me i need to refile or just only amendment letter to uscis.if any body has gone through this process plz help me.

Some members quoted that they hold a second H-1B. Because these second H-1Bs do not fall under any quota, this is a USCIS given gift for us, considering how slowly they process our applications.

Hi,
I tried to search for this and could not find anything.
When dealing with 485 portability using EAD (with approved I140),
what happens if your underlying LC is a location/region/state bound and you end up moving to out of that specified region.
Job duties/job code can stay similar with probably salary increase.
Does the location violation get equated to unequal/dissimilar job duties resulting in 485 denial?
Chances are that should I have to invoke AC21 portability(due to layoff or something alike), I'll be facing this so I just want to be prepared for possibilities.

i am in a small problem and it would be great if someone could help me out.
i came in us on f1 visa in jan2008 and i completed my mba in dec 2010. my opt expired on 31st march 2010. but before my SEVIS could expire i transfered my SEVIES to new college for summer term. now my visa is for 5 years ending on jan 2013. i know as long as i stay in US i am maintaining my status. but now i need to go home for few days. So how is it going to wrok for me? Do i need to go for new visa stamping or can i come back on same visa ? if i need to get new visa can i get it done in US before going home ? What are my option and what are my chances of coming back?

Say if one has two I-140 and wish to port the priority from the older one to the later one. And if the USCIS does not agree with your filing(maybe they will say the filing is not possible or not portable). What will they do? Will they deny the I-485 or will they just reject the application. If so will it cause an issue when the later priority date is reached and during the application of the following I-485.

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!

I have a EB3 case from employer A, and an EB2 case as a future GC from employer B , and got the date ported from EB3 case to EB2 , got EAD and AP .Now I have started working for employer B on EAD, for the past 3 months, and now my contract might expire with the client and loose job, I have found an other job , but have to leave employer B, now my question is, can I file AC21 and leave my GC sponsoring company(employer B), or is it a very short time , and raise any doubts on being a "NO GOOD FAITH"case.Please help.All I 140's are approved.
